Start your visit to the Hollandse Biesbosch at Biesboschcentrum Dordrecht (Biesbosch Centre Dordrecht). Here you will find everything you need to discover, learn about and experience nature in this area.

At the Biesbosch Centre, you can get information about the nature reserve, and inspiration to experience nature in many ways. You can discover the Biesbosch on foot or by boat and learn more about everything that grows and lives there.

Exhibition

Start or end your nature visit with a tour of our exhibition on the Biesbosch. Here you will learn interesting facts about the water, plants, beavers and birds and the history of the nature reserve in a playful way.

Are you planning to set out on your own in the Biesbosch? We will be happy to help you on your way with our walking and cycling route maps. You can find the maps in our centre.

'Griend' Museum Path walk

From 1 April to 31 October, you can take the foot ferry Zonnepont 7 to the Griendmuseumpad ('Griend' Museum Path). A beautiful footpath along beautiful countryside with historic willow worker huts. You can buy a ticket from the ticket machine at our centre.

Dogs

In much of the Hollandse Biesbosch, dogs are welcome, on a lead or off. To protect nature and the peace and quiet, dogs are not allowed in some parts. You can get a map from us of where your dog is welcome.

Accessibility

Biesbosch Centre Dordrecht is open every day:

  • From October to 24 April: 9.00 AM to 5 PM
  • From 25 April until 30 September: 10.00 AM to 6 PM
